Despite officially becoming an emoji two years prior, rumours spread in 2016 that WhatsApp was honouring a South Indian actor with the emoji resembling his iconic look in a much-anticipated, then-upcoming movie.
The emoji was said to resemble Rajinikanth's appearance in 2016's Kabali.

Yet another Connare font, often used in schools, was combined with a similarly much-reviled font having "timeless rustic qualities from centuries past" in a parody typeface that would "make you laugh (like a joke) and cry (like a mummy)."
The latter typeface is used in a big-budget movie franchise's subtitles.
